Honestly, I find microbiology way easier and actually fun compared to anatomy – being a microbiology postgrad, I’ve always enjoyed diving into microbial mechanisms, and it all just clicks for me. Anatomy, on the other hand, felt more tedious and dry.
Microbiology feels logical and connected – once I got the basics of microbial physiology, pathogenesis, and immunity, the rest flowed naturally. Each topic builds on the previous one, and I actually enjoy tracing infection cycles, resistance patterns, or microbial genetics.
Anatomy was just rote learning for me – I had to memorize endless names, locations, relations… it didn’t engage me the way microbiology did. Plus, in anatomy if I forgot one structure, it ruined the whole chain. In micro, I could at least reason it out.
Micro is dynamic, anatomy is static – I love that microbiology constantly evolves with new research—new strains, new resistance genes, updated classifications. It keeps me interested. Anatomy felt like memorizing a fixed atlas.
Lab work in micro’s more exciting – isolating pathogens, running biochemical tests, interpreting antibiotic zones—it feels like solving a mystery every time. Anatomy lab just felt like carving through layers.
So yeah, for me, microbiology isn’t just easier, it’s way more interesting and mentally satisfying. Anatomy has its place, sure, but I never felt the same spark with it.
